My Purpose
“I believe that my purpose is to take my well lived life and share my experiences with others. Tough times have a purpose. When I was in my darkest days, I shared some journal entries with a friend. She said, “There is a book in there” and so as I continued to journal through my tough times, in the back of my mind and my heart, I knew my experiences could be for a greater purpose than just my own. I started to recognize that my experiences could benefit others.
What is the purpose of pain if not to learn and grow? Why shouldn’t someone else glean insight and growth from my experiences? And so, Her Heroic Rise was born, and “Choice, Chance, and the Universe” was written. “

Resilience
Jennifer was raised by retired military parents in a home where there was no such word as “can’t” and the belief that you can do and be whatever you imagined. So it was surprising to her when a counselor asked her, “Jennifer, have you identified yourself as an abused woman?” Counseling, self-reflection, journaling, inner-work and God brought Jennifer back to, and beyond, her former level of self-esteem. “Fall down 7, Stand up 8”, has been her mantra and her core belief because, no matter what, as long as you get back up and try, try again, you have not been defeated. Jennifer is a model of resilience, her inspiration for Her Heroic Rise.

Relationships
Former wife, solo-mother, daughter, sister… Jennifer has navigated a variety of relationship dynamics. She endured, survived, and succeeded through divorce, navigating the family court system and the horrifying dynamic of narcissistic abuse. A solo mother for over 14 years, she has the battle wounds of her errors and the sweet joy of her successes. Having lost and buried both of her parents, and being estranged from her siblings, Jennifer knows the reality and beauty of forming your own tribe. And at the heart of all of this, your relationship with self. And, perhaps, your relationship with your faith. All of this has been born of her journey. She is honest and authentic when sharing her story, experience and tips.

Inspiration
A lover of quotes, and a person who lives life on the positive side of the scale, Jennifer is a woman who inspires others to love life. Despite heartache, challenges and change, she has always chosen to flip all situations over to seek what she refers to as, “the shiny side” of any situation. Jennifer was once asked, “how do you stay so positive?” Her reply? …”What’s the alternative?” Jennifer is a force of nature, with a love for challenging others to see their true potential and the positive slant of all situations. After all, the only way is through. So why not make the journey a good one?

Leadership
Jennifer has a strong background in leadership. Joining Toastmasters International in 2017, Jennifer was able to further develop her leadership skills in assisting and inspiring individuals, and clubs to greater success, earning her Distinguished Toastmaster designation and Division Director of the Year 2020-21. Adopting the Coaching style of leadership, she takes her inspired attitude and perspective, and effectively focuses on morale, untapped potential, and natural skills to move the needle forward for others on their learning journey.
